National Chamber seminar on ‘Construction Industry and the Way Forward’

The National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka will hold a half-day seminar on ‘Construction Industry andthe Way Forward’ on Wednesday 29 July from 3.00 p.m. to 5.00 p.m. at  the National  Chamber  Auditorium,450, D.R. Wijewardene Mawatha, Colombo 10.

The seminar will cover ‘Construction Industry Overview, Construction Industry Development Act and Role of the Construction Industry Development Authority’ by Archt. H.K. Balachandra – Director General of the Construction Industry Development Authority (CIDA); ‘Future Procurement Strategies for the Construction Industry’ by Dr. Surath Wickramasinghe – President of  the Chamber of Construction Industry; ‘National Data Base for the Construction Industry’ by Eng. S/Amarasekara – Director(Development) of CIDA; and ‘The National Policy on Construction and Promotion of Investment through Venture Capital Company’ by Eng. Conrad Tissera– Chairman of CIDA. 

The panel discussion will feature Eng. Conrad Tissera, Chairman of CIDA; Archt. H.K.Balachandra – Director General of CIDA; and Chitra Wedikkare, an industry expert. This will be a good opportunity to get to know all about the latest developments and regulations of the construction industry from industry experts.
