National Agribusiness Council (NAC) and the Sri Lanka Food Processors Association (SLFPA) signed a MOU recently at the SLFPA secretariat for ‘ProFood/ProPack and Ag Biz 2012.’
The main objective of signing this MOU was to work as one unit to use the strength of both parties to extend the ProFoods/Propack and Ag Biz exhibitions up to international level.
The MOU was signed by NAC Secretary Rohitha Nanayakkara and SLFPA Secretary Mervin Gonawela. NAC Chairman Aruna Weerakoon and SLFPA Chairman Hamilton Diaz witnessed the event.
This year’s exhibition will be held from 6 to 8 July at the Sirimavo Bandaranaike Memorial Exhibition Centre. ‘ProFoods/ProPack and Ag Biz 2012’ the most comprehensive agriculture and processed food/packaging exhibition in Sri Lanka. This will be a one stop shop solution for visitors.
This year’s exhibition theme is ‘From the Farm to the Kitchen.’ The exhibition will comprise more than 250 stalls covering processed food, packaging, agriculture and live stock sectors. Local and overseas exhibitors will also be present at the exhibition.
