For the first time in Sri Lanka and in the industry or by any paint company, Multilac, the innovator, has launched a program to educate their customers on all aspects of colour washing a building. This pioneering venture is named ‘Multilac Pahasaraniya’ which is a live television programme telecasted in Rupavahini as a segment of ‘Nuga Sevana’ at 9:15 a.m. every Wednesday. Multilac’s vision is based on the principles—innovation, novelty and quality—inculcated upon the company by its Managing Director Mizver Makeen. Hence, Multilac Pahasaraniya was introduced by the company as a novel approach to facilitate better service provision to the wide customer base of paints. The program is mainly aimed at creating awareness among housewives, the managers of domestic units, on colour washing. A housewife is the cornerstone of the home and is responsible for the proper and efficient management of a home. It is in this context, that Multilac, as a company that thinks about their customers, believes it is important to educate our housewives on selecting the right paint. Multilac Pahasaraniya will hold comprehensive discussions on topics such as paint manufacturing, categories of paints, selecting the suitable coat, pallets and painting equipment. Multilac will also make it an opportunity to create awareness among customers on the extensive colour selection of Multilac, available through an island-wide network of over 400 colour banks. “There are numerous brands of paints available in the market and each of them has a different composition. That is why it is important for customers to know the exact brand of paint they want to use for their homes or business premises. Through Pahasaraniya, we hope to give specialised knowledge to our housewives on how to select the correct paint. “As a company with a proud history of 32 years in the paint manufacturing industry, we feel that it is our responsibility towards the society to ensure that customers receive high quality products,” said Multilac Marketing Manager Hashan Haputhanthri. Multilac Pahasaraniya is the brainchild of Hashan Haputhanthri, who conceptualised the program to strengthen the bond of the company with its end consumers. Multilac hopes to share the technical know-how and specialised knowledge of experts employed at the company through Pahasaraniya, where they will educate customers through demonstrations. The program will serve as a value addition to the industry specialists of Multilac, through which they get the opportunity to showcasing their knowledge, thus manifesting the expertise and quality standards of Multilac.
