Minister Amunugama meets World Bank Vice President

The Senior Minister for International Monetary Co-operation and the Deputy Minister of Finance and Planning, Dr. Sarath Amunugama met South Asia Region World Bank Vice president Philippe H. Le Houerou yesterday (28) at the Finance Ministry. Dr. Amunugama had a special discussion with Le Houerou.

The Minister had exchanged views in detail in regard to the development activities in Sri Lanka and also which are financed by WB after the defeat of terrorism. He explained the rapid development made in the social and economic fields in Sri Lanka. The Minister explained further the speedy development of economic and social progress of the northern and eastern provinces of the country. Francoise Clottes was also present at this discussion.
