Hemas Holdings PLC has appointed Steven Enderby as advisor to the CEO on mergers, acquisitions and growth (M&A).
The new appointment is in line with the company’s strategy to accelerate the pace of growth through M&A. Steven will be leading business development team of Hemas as the company looks to deepen its market leading presence in personal care and healthcare, and grow significantly in leisure, transportation, power and hospitals.
Steven has a long and successful track record in the private equity space, as a partner with Actis Capital LLP, a leading global emerging markets fund. During his career, Steven has focused on South Asian markets working for 12 years in India and five in Sri Lanka. He has led multiple successful private equity transactions in India and Sri Lanka, including South Asia Gateway Terminals, Ceylon Oxygen and Millennium Information Technologies.
He has also worked in Southern and East African markets. He has served on the boards of John Keells Holdings, Lion Brewery and NDB and multiple other leading Sri Lankan and Indian businesses. He retired as an Actis partner in 2011.
He holds a BSc (Econ) Hons in economics and accounting from Queens University, Belfast and is a Member of Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. He recently completed his Masters in Development Studies at the University of Melbourne.
