McQuire Rens & Jones together with WOB (Women on Boards) in the Maldives, launched a Conference for Women at Bandos Island Resort on Saturday, 5 September. The program was patronised by 80 prominent ladies from both the public and private sector organisations in Maldives.
The first lady of Maldives, Fathimath Ibrahim graced this prestigious event as Chief Guest and Minister of Law and Gender Uz. Mohamed Anil delivered the keynote speech.
The Conference for Women program was facilitated by Archana Law, a prominent Resource Person on the faculty of McQuire Rens & Jones. The areas covered included ‘Leading projects and people, standing up for yourself, creating a powerful and positive image, resolving conflicts and leading male subordinates’. The program feedback comments at the conclusion of the sessions were absolutely encouraging and there were multiple requests for McQuire Rens & Jones to run business linked programs as often as possible in the Maldives.
STO Chairman Ahmed Niyaz, STO Managing Director Ahmed Shahir and Ooredoo CEO Vikram Sinha were among the prominent personalities present at the opening ceremony. The program was empowered by Ooredoo one of the largest telecommunications providers in the world. Sri Lankan Airlines, STO Maldives, Sun Group Maldives and Mookai Suites were also among the sponsors for the event. McQuire Rens & Jones Ltd. Managing Director Narendra Jayasuriya mooted the idea and spear-headed the organising of this event, the first of its kind in the Maldives.
