MATRADE awards Sri Lanka-Malaysia Business Council

Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) recently, recognised the Sri Lanka Malaysia Business Council of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce for efforts it has taken towards promoting trade, tourism and investment between Sri Lanka and Malaysia.

Accordingly, an award was given to the SL-Malaysia Council by the MATRADE during the recent seminar held in Colombo, under the title ‘Business Opportunities in Malaysia’.

Business Council Chairman Aashiq Lafir accepted the award on behalf of the council. It was presented by the Malaysian International Trade and Industry Minister Dato’ Sri Mustafa, who was in Colombo recently.

The seminar was conducted as part of a trade and investment mission in Sri Lanka and was followed by business to business meetings with visiting SMEs from Malaysia and local businessmen.
