Minister of Skills Development and Vocational Training Mahinda Samarasinghe and State Minister Palitha Range Bandara recently undertook a tour to inspect the construction work of a German-Sri Lanka Technical Training Institute which is under way in Kilinochchi with a view to boost technical and vocational skills of the regional youth.
The worthy investment to establish a Technical Training Institute in the former war theatre would definitely help youth to enhance technical skills which pave the way to secure good employment.
The institute also expects to provide training in the food sector, tourism, IT, electronics and electrical covering a wide range of other industries exclusively for youth.
Germany has been a major development partner of Sri Lanka providing technical and vocational training for skills development and social integration in association with the Ministry of Skills Development and Vocational Training in Sri Lanka.
