A pioneer in the office automation and technology industry, the Metropolitan Group has announced the opening of its new look mCentre Matara showroom, to offer an enhanced and convenient user experience for its rapidly growing customer base in the southern coast. 

Located at No. 382, Anagarika Dharmapala Mawatha, Pamburana Matara, the new showroom provides capacity for customer support, sales, and technical services along with parking facilities. The Matara branch has been in operation for 27 years.

The new showroom will showcase a wide range of state-of-the-art solutions and the best world class brands and products, while further enhancing the existing wide network of Metropolitan retail centres across the country while fulfilling the Metropolitan promise of finding a solution to every place and bringing its value added and reliable service offerings closer to consumers.

Within the showroom is a dedicated Metropolitan mService Centre for added customer convenience. The mService Centre by Metropolitan is a unique service offering where consumers can engage with technical teams on-site with their devices and be present when repairs are being undertaken. Every device purchased comes with a Metropolitan warranty and after sales service with a trusted commitment to meet every requirement to the fullest of every customer.

“The mCentres house fully fledged technical service teams throughout our outlets and as such any unexpected device issues can quickly be attended to at any mCentre closest to the customer without having to travel to our Colombo head office,” said Metropolitan Computers Head of Retail and SMB Shamaz Hossen, elaborating on the showroom’s unique offerings.

He added, “The Matara showroom with its mService space will allow customers to feel at ease knowing that an experienced on-site technical team is closeby to attend to urgent device issues and that they won’t need to worry about the safety of their devices when turning them over for repairs.”

With the pandemic acting as a catalyst for more work-at-home and study-at-home options, Hossen added that the showroom fulfils a timely need for businesses and households in need of devices.

Metropolitan Computers, the IT arm of the Metropolitan Group, launched the mCentre as a one- stop IT hub where equipment needs could be met. Since its launch the mCentres have expanded to more than 12 centres across the island in a bid to better serve its customers.
