The first batch of 20 winners of mountain bikes of Scan Jumbo peanut ‘Saikal Wessa’ Promotion collected their bikes on 28 July at a ceremony held in Colombo. Another 30 winners will be selected by 20 August and given bikes. Those who wish to enter the draw have only to send an empty Jumbo Peanut pack and post to PO Box 161, Colombo in an envelope marked ‘Scan Jumbo Peanut Cycle Shower’. Scan Products introduced Scan Jumbo Peanuts to the Sri Lankan market sixteen years ago and the positive response shown by consumers to the product made the company decide on the draw as a gesture of goodwill. The success of the product was due to the fact that the consumers accepted that it was a quality nutritious product. They liked the salty crunchy flavour which they felt was a fine snack. Grade 1 cadjunuts are used in the product thereby ensuring topmost quality. Available in several pack sizes to suit the purse of the consumer, they are carefully packed ensuring freshness and cleanliness. According to the Brand Manager Gayan Wijetilleka, Scan Jumbo Peanut is being produced under the most hygienic conditions. “We also strive to give the consumer the best and nutritious products maintaining high quality standards. The acceptance of our products by the consumers over the past so many years is proof of this,” he said. The company has ensured that Scan Jumbo Peanuts are available at outlets throughout the country making it extremely convenient for the consumers to obtain them with ease.
