Logiventures ties up with Hybrid Homes

Logiventures, a subsidiary of Hayleys PLC signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Hybrid Homes, to exclusively manufacture and market contemporary mobile homes and other value added accommodation facilities under the brand name of ‘Hybrid Homes’ in Sri Lanka and abroad.

The agreement between the two companies was signed on recently with the joint announcement to unveil the first ever model hybrid house to the market shortly.

Hybrid Homes is a novel concept of housing introduced and conceptualised by Hybrid Homes and Logiventures to bridge gaps that currently exist within the construction industry of Sri Lanka.  Hybrid Homes is a genuine eco-friendly solution, which uses shipping containers and other recyclable materials for construction of houses. Hybrid houses are widely considered as an ideal solution for contemporary housing needs including holiday bungalows, villas and other value added accommodation facilities as it provides an array of advantages compared to conventional housing.

Hybrid Homes come with a range of modern designs, to suit different incomes and lifestyles. Hybrid houses will be built as per ISO standards and will be delivered to its customers within a period of three to eight weeks depending on the design.

These mobile houses, which can be easily moved via road or air transportation, come with many novel features and facilities.  These include solar power connectivity, pipe music, smart keys and so on. This temperature controlled and corrosion resistance houses provide extra security from lightning, Tsunami and other natural disasters.  Hybrid homes can be built in even extents of land less that five perches either owned or leased and do not require municipal or regulatory approvals.

These eco friendly houses have a lifetime of over 25 years and could be built up to a maximum of six floors.  According to the official announcement, plans are underway to manufacture and market 200 contemporary mobile houses within the next two years.  Logiventures is a subsidiary of Hayleys Advantis, the Transportation and Logistics arm of the Hayleys Group, one of the major multinational conglomerates in Sri Lanka.
