LAUGFS Supermarkets now accept water bill payments

LAUGFS Supermarkets Limited a subsidiary of LAUGFS Holdings Limited in a bid to introduce added services to its supermarket chain signed an agreement with the National Water Supply and Drainage Board enabling consumers to settle their monthly water bills at LAUGFS Supermarkets chain.

National Water Supply and Drainage Board Chairman Karunasena Hettiarchchi said that signing with LAUGFS Supermarkets Limited was indeed a very important event as it would enable Water Board customers to pay up their bills in more convenient locations.

“Through this agreement we are providing more locations to our customers who would bring more efficiency to our operations especially on collections,” said Hettiarachchi.

LAUGFS Supermarkets CEO Ravi Dhanayake speaking at the event said that the signing of an agreement with National Water Supply and Drainage Board will bring a win-win situation to both institutions.

He said, “Through this agreement we will encourage additional customer traffic to our establishments providing the water board a ready-made clientele. We are delighted to be a partner with the National Water Supply and Drainage Board.”

Under the new agreement, the general public will be in apposition to settle their water bills directly at the LAUGFS Supermarkets. LAUGFS Supermarkets Limited is a subsidiary of the LAUGFS Holdings Limited. LAUGFS Supermarkets are located in 25 locations in Colombo and suburbs including 24-hour open unit at Havelock road.
