Continuing the on-going expansion of its retail network, domestic giant, LAUGFS recently announced the opening of its 31st retail outlet, at No.40, High Level Road, Pahathgama, Hanwella.
In order to commemorate the event, LAUGFS also awarded a series of prizes to luck winners at the opening. Included among the prizes was a brand new Panda car which was awarded to Sharmaleen Ann De Zoisa, and 12 new Singer motorbikes.
The LAUGFS Sunup Supermarkets, known as the ‘Super that never sleeps’ is currently Sri Lanka’s only 24-hour supermarket chain and also the first also the first convenience store to jointly operate with a fuel retail outlet and 24-hour pharmacy.
The super market chain incorporates the latest in technology including bill payment systems for Dialog, Mobitel, SLT, and Etisalat in addition to water utility payments.
More recently LAUGFS entered into agreements to facilitate payments for e-channelling, the first tie up of its kind in the country.
A highly diversified Sri Lankan giant, LAUGFS operates across multiple business sectors including retail, power and energy, industrial and manufacturing, service, hospitality and more recently, finance.
