Yamaha Motor Co., Japan General Manager – Overseas Market Development Operations (OMDO) Hirama flew into Colombo recently to meet the Sri Lankan powerhouse, LAUGFS International Ltd., to commend on the exceptional performance of power products under the brand name Yamaha.
General Manager Hirama said: “We are very happy with the exceptional performance LAUGFS International has shown in Sri Lanka in a short period of less than two years. The brand has grown from strength to strength and enjoys a top slot as a leading power product brand in Sri Lanka.”
He also showed his gratitude to the untiring efforts of the dynamic team behind the operations which took the challenge of excellence.

Initiating its operations in October 2014, LAUGFS International accepted the mammoth task of achieving greatness in volume and brand performance under the global brand name Yamaha which was over expectedly achieved showing prowess and promise for Yamaha and the industry at large.
Yamaha, a global brand, entered the Sri Lankan market with its unparalleled power products for over three decades and since witnessed commendable growth for its reputation in product and brand.
“Our alliance with LAUGFS has amplified the momentum in the industry and has served as a benchmark in providing a better reliance in power products and services in the industry,” said Hirama, reputing LAUGFS International as one of the best business partners in the world.
The visit did not conclude by only recognising the performance of LAUGFS but also opened up suggestions to holding regional conferences enlightening members in other regions of the world to pursue tactical and operational excellence to enhance business operations and benchmarks in the industry.
LAUGFS International is the trading arm of the LAUGFS group specialising in power products. The product portfolio includes Yamaha generators, inverters, water pumps and multi-purpose engines as the authorised distributor in Sri Lanka.
