LAUGFS Gas celebrates triple award triumph

Demonstrating its unyielding focus on excellence, LAUGFS has yet again secured prime accolades at this year’s CA Sri Lanka Annual Report Awards, National Business Excellence Awards and Best Corporate Citizen Sustainability Awards.

LAUGFS Gas PLC bagged Gold Awards for the third consecutive year at CA Sri Lanka’s Annual Report Awards in the Power and Energy sector, as well as the National Business Excellence Awardsin the Other Service/Other Sector – Extra Large category. These two wins were complemented by a first runner-up accolade at the Best Corporate Citizen Sustainability Awards in the less than 15 Billion turnover category together with the Category Award for Economic Contribution.

The awards toast achievement and excellence in LAUGFS’s economic, social and environmental performance and reporting. The National Business Excellence Awards, organised by the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka, salutes an entity’s overall performance and contribution to national growth through criteria such as leadership, corporate governance, capacity building, local and global market reach as well as business and financial results. Meanwhile, the Best Corporate Citizen Sustainability Award, a brainchild of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, assesses an organisation’s environmental, social and economic performance through its engagement with its various stakeholders. The CA Sri Lanka’s Annual Report Awards recognise a company’s reporting excellence.

LAUGFS Gas PLC is a diversified conglomerate listed in the Colombo Stock Exchange. It has a strong presence in the power and energy sector in the region, with LAUGFS Gas having a firm foothold in the local LPG downstream industry as a trusted brand. Its overseas operations consist of Petredec Elpiji, one of the largest LPG downstream distributors in Bangladesh.
