Lankem Robbialac revolutionised Sri Lanka’s paints industry with the recent launch of its colour matching application via smart phones. This novel application enables users to completely change or mix and match the colour of any surface in a virtual environment. One could download the application from Android and soon on the iOS App Store free of charge and thereafter use the Robbialac Colour Explorer App to take a photo of the desired surface. Selecting colours from Robbialac Emulsion or Weathercoat, one can tap on the surface and get it painted with the selected colour and experience the effect of the colour on your wall as well as against the other decor. Director Lankem Ceylon Ruwan T. Weerasinghe said: “We’re proud to be Sri Lanka’s first paint manufacturer to introduce this unique concept to the market. This colour matching application brings all Sri Lankans the infinite possibilities of dramatically changing the surfaces around them.” Users of this application can get an idea of what kind of Robbialac colours suits the surface more. They can choose the colour straight away from the store while saving valuable time without contemplating inside the store. This novel application is similar to having a Robbialac colour card at home at the touch of your finger tips. It saves cost in terms of another coat of paint by eliminating the costly risk of dissatisfaction with a choice of colour. This application is a boon to interior designers and architects because they can instantly show the client how the selected Robbialac colour works rather than doing a costly graphic design on any other software, added Weerasinghe.
