Lanka Walltile PLC recently commissioned a new production plant at its Meepe factory, significantly increasing its production capacity and product quality, allowing it to better cater to the evolving needs of customers.
The new production plant, equipped with the latest in ceramic tile technology from world renowned Italian machinery supplier SACMI IMOLA, was opened by the Chairman Anthony A. Page amidst a large and distinguished gathering.
Speaking at the event Mahendra Jayasekera, Managing Director, Lanka Walltile PLC said, “We regard this new investment of Rs. 700 million as renewed confirmation of our commitment to bring the best in quality and beauty to our many valued and discerning customers. We strive to keep our factories equipped with technologically advanced machinery in order to produce tiles of the highest quality and to exceed expectations of customers in domestic as well as global markets.”
The new plant in the Meepe factory is one of the most sophisticated tile manufacturing facilities in Asia and allows the company to produce a larger array of exquisite patterns, tasteful colours, varied textures and elegant finishes in a wide range of sizes, including the large format 12” X 24” tiles.
