JKH subsidiary John Keells Warehousing (JKW) has once again raised the bar for quality and safety standards at the work place. This time, for the first time in Sri Lanka JKW earned the OHSAS 180001 Certification (occupational health and assessment series). With the receipt of this certification for warehousing operations and the tea sample room located within the premises, John Keells Warehousing has become the only tea broker’s warehouse in the country to receive both OHSAS 180001 and HACCP ISO 2200 Certifications.
John Keells’ state-of-the-art tea warehousing complex, situated at Muthurajawela, commenced operations in 2003 and was awarded the HACCP ISO 2200 certification in 2006. Today the complex has a work force of 45, and boasts of a racking capacity of 4.8 million kg of tea.
