Jetwing Hotels have taken in-room facilities to another level by introducing state of the art ATOM LED Televisions at 5 of their luxury properties including Jetwing Lighthouse, Jetwing Beach and the newly launched Jetwing Blue.

LED (Light Emitting Diode) technology uses arrays of LED lights to replace the bulkier fluorescent lights used in LCD TV’s, resulting in slimmer panels and localised dimming and lighting which allows for dynamic contrast creating more dramatic visuals.  Sleek and stylish the ultra slim Jetwing Branded LED units enhance the ambiance of the room while providing a more immersive and interactive experience for guests. At present over 350 High Definition 40” LED TV’s have been installed by the ATOM team at these prestigious resorts island wide.

Having total control over the manufacturing process ATOM was able to customise each unit and start up screens with Jetwing branding ensuring a more complete brand experience for their guests, another first in the industry. ATOM is the only LCD and LED manufacturer to allow complete product customisation according to customer requirements, a value added service enabled by the company’s local production facilities.

“Whilst most hotels are upgrading their current box televisions to LCD units, Jetwing Hotels made a strategic decision to move two steps ahead of the rest and embrace the very latest in High Definition technology. Besides being more aesthetically pleasing and providing a better picture quality, LED technology also closely follows the Jetwing focus on being energy efficient and environmentally friendly. The decision to work with ATOM was made primarily due to their high quality offering, comprehensive local support and servicing infrastructure as well as their unique ability to customise the units according to our requirements,” Jetwing Hotels Managing Director Ruan Samarasinghe said.

“If Sri Lanka is to truly achieve its potential as a tourist destination, it is essential that hotels invest in better facilities in order to compete with standards set by other destinations. Today’s traveller expects more and it is time for the industry to meet this demand. Replacing all the TV’s in five of our properties across the island is a huge undertaking, however we believe the change is necessary to provide our guests with a better experience,” he added.

“From the very inception we have focused on delivering the latest technology to our clientele across the world, our LED and LCD screens are manufactured using the highest grade components, backed by over 25 years of proven local after sales expertise. LED in particular has a growing market in the hotel and lifestyle sector due to its significantly lower power consumption in comparison to LCD, resulting in more savings for our clientele,” ATOM Technologies Director Sanjiv Alles said.

“Having complete control over the manufacturing process, we have a team that understands the product inside out and are able to provide end to end support across the island, enabling us to meet the stringent requirements of clients such as Jetwing Hotels where minimal downtime is essential,” he added.

Based out of Sri Lanka, ATOM collaborates with visionary innovators and product designers in the USA, UK and Asia, to custom build an advanced suite of products for their clientele across Asia, India, Africa and the Middle East. Quite apart from their growing prevalence in the consumer market, ATOM also boasts over 100 local corporate customer installations, including locations such as ODEL, Barista Cafés, Virtusa and Cinnamon Lakeside.
