Janashakthi Insurance PLC, a leading insurance provider in Sri Lanka, partnered the National Chamber of Exporters (NCE) for the recently concluded NCE Awards at the Hilton Colombo. This is the 24th consecutive year the awards have been held.

The event, which has grown in prominence and stature over the years, is now Sri Lanka’s premier awarding platform to recognise exporters and their outstanding contribution to the industry.

“As a leading insurer within the export sector, Janashakthi was once again proud to partner the National Chamber of Exporters for the NCE Awards. The NCE Awards are perceived as an icon of excellence within the industry, and is indicative of the heights that our local exporters continue to rise to compete in the global marketplace. As an industry that has unlimited potential to boost the country’s economy, it is imperative that we continue to support and propel the export community to achieve the ultimate potential in their journey,” said Jude Fernando, Chief Executive Officer of Janashakthi General Insurance Ltd.

“With an extensive knowledge and understanding of local and international maritime laws and customs, Janashakthi is fully geared to provide the assurance and protection that the exporters of our nation require to progress onto becoming internationally acclaimed icons. Hence, we take this opportunity to pledge our commitment towards the development of the export industry by way of providing guaranteed protection for their business and associated assets,” said Dayalanie Abeygunawardena, Chief Operating Officer of Janashakthi General Insurance Ltd.

The National Chamber of Exporters Sri Lanka, which celebrated its 30th anniversary this year, established the awards to help exporters achieve greater visibility in overseas markets and attract new customers and investors.

“We were happy to welcome the support of one of Sri Lanka’s leading Insurers, Janashakthi Insurance, for the 24th NCE Awards. As the ‘Voice of Exporters’ representing the trade, we endeavour to contribute towards accelerating the growth of Sri Lanka’s export industry and assist the Government to uplift industry standards, thus, increasing the positive impact of exports towards the development of the country’s economy. It is therefore a privilege to have an organisation with strong local roots such as Janashakthi share a mutual vision and contribute towards the same year on year,” said Sarada De Silva, Chairman of the National Chamber of Exporters Sri Lanka.
