The Institute of Supply and Materials Management to celebrate its 40th anniversary this month has organised a full day international seminar at Waters Edge on 23 October 2012 from 9.00 a.m. onwards for the benefit of its members.
The Chief Guest and keynote speaker will be Ajith Nivard Cabraal, Governor, Central Bank of Ceylon. The other guest speakers include Svante Axelsson, President of the International Federation of Purchasing and Supply Management, UK, Dian Gomes, Group Director – MAS Holdings (Pvt.) Ltd., Professor Ajith de Alwis – Professor of Chemical and Process Engineering, University of Moratuwa, Professor Uditha Liyanage, Chairman – Post Graduate Institute of Management, University of Sri Jayawardenapura, Professor Amal Kumarage – Senior Professor, Department of Transport and Logistics, University of Moratuwa and Former Chairman, Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport Sri Lanka.
The seminar is open to ISMM members and the general public. The seminar will be followed by a grand banquet dinner on 24 October 2012 at Waters Edge at which Dr. Sarath Amunugama, Senior Minister of International Monetary Cooperation, Ministry of Finance and Planning will be the Chief Guest and Gamini S. Senarath, Chief of Staff to the President and Secretary to the President will be the Guest of Honour. Over 200 members are expected to attend this get-together banquet with their spouses.
