With the end of a three-decade civil war and the doors now opened for brands and businesses in a wide range of industries, Jaffna is considered to be amongst the most lucrative destinations today in Sri Lanka and the peninsula held its Jaffna International Trade Fair (JITF) for the sixth consecutive year for which Industrial Asphalts PLC (IAC) was a proud sponsor. Held on 23, 24 and 25 January at Durayappah Stadium, this three-day fair exhibited an attractive platform for industries such as agriculture, consumer goods, construction, information and communication technology, financial services, apparel, hospitality, automobile, travel amongst various others. Commenting on this, IAC Managing Director/CEO said: “We are delighted to have sponsored and extended our support to one of the most attractive trade exhibitions in the country.” “We look forward to further strengthen our relationship and strengthened our traditional stronghold of our range of brands and products to the Jaffna peninsula at a time where regional development and integration plays a vital role in enhancing Sri Lanka’s economy,” he further stated. Britex, the protective coatings range from Industrial Asphalts (Ceylon) PLC – IAC – has launched full range coloured anti-corrosive paints for the Sri Lankan market, including the north and east market. IAC supplies straight run bitumen grades of 80/100, 60/70 and oxidised bitumen 85/25. Further it also offers road emulsion and cutbacks under the brand name Sealkote. IAC owns and markets the NOLEAK range of weather proof and water proofing products. Industrial Asphalts (Ceylon) PLC is a publicly-quoted company in the Colombo Stock Exchange’s main board. IAC’s brands are used for a broader range of industry sectors and households and includes Sealkote, Britex, NOLEAK, Exchemie, Autosyl, Bitkote, Felt Fix and Barkseal amongst others.
