Talks were held at the Academy of Financial Studies (Miloda) and the two delegations had very cordial discussions on attracting Indian investments to various segments including automobile parts, pharmaceuticals, sugar and tourism. The issue of obtaining substantial market access in India for Sri Lankan apparel, tea and rubber products was also discussed.
Anura Siriwardena, Secretary to the Ministry of Industry and Commerce and Prasad Kariyawasam, High Commissioner of Sri Lanka in New Delhi, were also members of the delegation.
