The India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO), is showcasing the strengths of Indian trade and Industry in different segments at the India Sourcing Fair (ISF).
The event kicks off today at 9.30 a.m. at the Sri Lanka Exhibition and Convention Centre (SLECC) Colombo.
This is the first of the series being organised by ITPO in Sri Lanka. ITPO is a premium organisation for holding trade fairs in India and abroad, under the Ministry of Commerce of the Government of India.
The Indian Contingent has come up with 86 companies in an exhibition area of over 2500 square meters. The state government of Odisha is designated as the partner state that shall project investment and export import opportunities.
The special Theme Area is dedicated to ‘Made in India/Make in India’, the dream concept of the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi, and the campaign of the government of India.
The product profile includes agro machinery, electronics, healthcare, food products, horticulture, hand tools, alternate systems of medicine, artificial limbs, printing and packaging services, granite, marine products, jewellery and handicrafts.
Buyer seller meetings are scheduled with the co-operation of the National Chamber of Commerce Industry of Sri Lanka, Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry in Sri Lanka and National Chamber of Exporters. While the investment seminars and advisory sessions are conducted by the Board of Investments in Sri Lanka.
