TADSummit (TADS) 2015 kicked off in Lisbon, Portugal on 17 November with a focus on building the telecom application developer ecosystem. Attended by representatives from all around the world, hSenid Mobile Solutions Chairman Dinesh Saparamadu was one of the key speakers at this internationally recognised event.
“While enterprise service innovation will drastically improve the way telcos do business with our wizard based-easy service creation environment, it will also dominate the topic of Telco- Enterprise service innovation in years to come,” Saparamadu said at the Summit. “Our past speaks for our success of redefining the way telcos were able to leverage on their digital assets by going beyond APIs to identify on a complete mobile eco system.”
As an extensive service enabler, hSenid Mobile’s Telco Application Platform (TAP) was clearly a breakthrough of value added service creation revolutionising the way telcos build developer ecosystems. Saparamadu explained how TAP enables developers to utilise various business and entrepreneurial opportunities with its rich set of tools and self-care environment to effortlessly capitalize on telco’s assets.
Saparamadu added that a number of telcos have already made an effort and joined in ‘API-fication’ with capabilities to monetise their digital assets and enforce open innovation, in the hope of an improved business value and accelerated VAS revenues.
But what is the future of these telcos in a fast evolving landscape? “We should go beyond APIs to drive more and more service innovation by facilitating simple and seamless service creation environments and driving service innovation even among parties with no prior coding knowledge,” he told the audience. “Probably, this would create the next shift in telcos.”
By responding to this exact market need, telcos can be the enabler of digital transformation while maximally monetising their network assets which ultimately enhances the value of their customer offerings. This will also enable telcos to expand their efforts of creating a mobile ecosystem. “Not only that, Telcos can also get on board this ecosystem to enable internal innovation and create services that improve their internal efficiency. Time and resources would have been the bottleneck to create such services. But now is the time that they too can vastly reap the perks of Telcos digital assets,” he said in conclusion.
TAD Summit is the only global event where developers gather to learn, share, code and create using the tools and technologies available in telecommunications.
