Top lawyer Harsha Amarasekera has been appointed as a Director on the Board of Chevron Lubricants Lanka Plc with effect from 1 June.
Amarasekera is a President Counsel and has wide practice in the Original Courts as well as in the Appellate Courts. He has specialised in Commercial Law, Business Law, Securities Law, Banking Law and Intellectual Property Law.
He serves as an Independent Director in several companies listed on the Colombo Stock Exchange, including; Vallibel One Ltd., Expolanka Holdings Plc, CIC Holdings Plc, Keells Food Products Plc, Amaya Leisure Plc and Vallibel Power Erathna Plc whilst he is also a Director of Amana Bank Ltd. and CIC Agri Business Ltd.
Amarasekera’s appointment follows the vacancy created by the retirement of Daham Wimalasena as he didn’t seek a re-election at Chevron Lubricants Lanka AGM held recently.
With the new appointment, the Board of Directors of Chevron Lubricants Plc comprises; F. Saeed (Chairman), K. Gomes (Managing Director/CEO), A. Perera, D. Rodrigo, R. Brown and H. Amarasekera.
