Hants Group receives ISO 9001:2008 certification

Lanka Polymers (Pvt) Ltd and Hubert N. Anthony & Sons (Pvt) Ltd, the manufacturing segments of the Hants Group of Companies has been awarded the ISO 9001:2008 certification by Sri Lanka Standards Institution thus, becoming the first and only manufacturer to receive the quality management systems for  the manufacture of both products in Sri Lanka.

The group consists of three companies which are engaged in the manufacture of Expandable Polystyrene and Polyurethane foam products and Union Holdings, the sole distributor for Wilton cake decorative equipment in Sri Lanka and the Maldives. The products are marketed under the brand names of Comfilux, Polyflex, Styrofoam and Styropack. The product mix consists of Styrofam packaging and insulation, light weight cement blocks, Polyflex & Comfilux mattresses and Wilton cake decorative equipment.

Established in 1981, as a family owned, single company, today the group has the capacity and the expertise to meet customers needs for household as well as industrial solutions for EPS packaging and bedding requirements. Hants Group pioneered the manufacture of spring mattresses in Sri Lanka and the largest Expandable Polystyrene Sheet of 16ft X 4ft. The quality of the all foam mattresses are certified by SLS 893 standard.

In keeping with its environmental policies, the company pioneered the recycling of Expanded Polystyrene waste in Sri Lanka and still remains the only recycler in the country.

The certification was a result of the company adhering to strict audit requirements and maintaining stringent quality processes and document controls.
