Foreign investors keen to meet local counterparts at Ceylon Chamber Conclave

Overseas investors (business executives) expected to take part in the upcoming ‘Sri Lanka Investment and Business Conclave 2016’ organised by the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce have shown an interest to meet Sri Lankan businesses engaged in diverse business sectors.

More than 60 investors (business executives) already registered to take part in the March event, have indicated their willingness to meet local businesses with interests in the areas of export manufacturing, tourism and leisure, knowledge services, infrastructure and port development, recycling of waste, tourism and leisure, apparels, power and energy, telecommunication and related services, apparels, agriculture and education, etc.

The registered investors are from countries such as Australia, Bangladesh, China, Egypt, Germany, Georgia, Kuwait, Maldives, Pakistan, Singapore, South Africa and Switzerland. The forum will take place between 8 and 10 March at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel, Colombo.

The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce plans to attract over 100 foreign investors to the event, in a bid to help Sri Lanka attract much needed FDIs to drive economic growth, which is one of its core operating principles.
