Flexiprint – the leader in manufacturing, marketing and supplying finely printed tea bag tags, envelopes and tagged pyramid mesh to the tea industry – was awarded the prestigious Presidential Award for Exports (Printing category) for the years 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013 for excellence in exports at the Presidential Awards Ceremony held on 16 December 2015 at Nelum Pokuna.
“We are delighted that our efforts and contribution towards the growth of Sri Lanka’s exports has been recognised and rewarded for four consecutive years,” said Flexiprint Ltd. Managing Director Sathis Abeywickrama.
“Flexiprint plays a critical role in serving and supporting Sri Lanka’s key industrialists especially in the value added tea export industry as a catalyst in their efforts providing state of the art solutions for the discerning tea-drinkers the world over,” he added.
Flexiprint recently made a significant investment in expanding their manufacturing capacity to add an additional 90,000 sq. ft of factory space at its new factory and office complex in Kadawatha with state of the art equipment to fulfil the requirements of the market. Once completed, the new factory would be one of Asia’s best printing plants with all certifications required to supply packaging to the sensitive food industry.
“Making a big factory is easy, but making a perfect product is difficult and Flexiprint is definitely making perfect tea bag tags, envelopes and tagged pyramid mesh in a factory which runs efficiently to get the highest productivity on the customer’s tea bagging machines,” he further added.
Flexiprint has been garnering much attention this year having also won the National Business Excellence Runner-up Award at the recently concluded National Business Excellence Awards. A key concept that Abeywickrama banks upon for the success of Flexiprint is the highly committed, loyal and capable team.
