For the first time, Hambantota District Chamber of Commerce (HDCC) has published a business directory, which was launched recently.

HDCC, with the technical support of the University of Ruhuna and the financial support of the Southern Regional Access to Finance and Advisory Programme, implemented by International Finance Cooperation (IFC) with financial assistance from Royal Norwegian Embassy, carried an entrepreneur’s census in order to develop a business profile for the Hambantota district.

The entire study was carried out during June 2010 – November 2011 period and the field censes operation was executed between October – Nov ember 2011.
