Fems, the sanitary ware brand of Hemas Manufacturing Ltd. recently rewarded the winning mothers and daughters of its ‘Malaysia Shopping Sriya’ promotion with air tickets to Malaysia. Six mothers and daughters were awarded air tickets whilst 55 other winners received gold pendants at a grand ceremony held in Colombo.
The prizes were distributed by National Hospital Colombo well-known Chief Nursing Instructress Pushpa Ramyani de Soysa who was the Chief Guest at this event, Hemas Manufacturing Managing Director Roy Joseph and Director Marketing, Rakesh Khosla.
The promotion Fems ‘Malaysia Shopping Sriya’ was held from November last year till 15 February 2013. The customers had to send in an empty 10 pack of Fems Sanitary Napkins with their name and contact details to the company to be entitled to the Grand Draw. The draw was done in three steps where 55 winners were selected to reward gold pendants.
Joining the event, Hemas Manufacturing Managing Director Roy Joseph said: “In the last two decades Fems has shown tremendous growth and today is the second in the market place. This has been possible due to the continuous trust consumers have placed in the brand and due to the high quality standards and the process we have consistently maintained. And we continue to maintain these high standards.”
Expressing her views on this promotion, Fems Group Product Manager Shamali Perera said: “A mother will select only the best product for her daughter and our product has been trusted by many mothers around the country. The purpose of this promotion was to reward this unwavering trust in our brand by our loyal customers by providing an all expenses paid trip with airfare to Malaysia to mothers and daughters. This is a unique opportunity provided by Fems which is a once in lifetime experience for mothers and daughters.”
She also added that the company will continue to reward its loyal customers with such innovative promotions in future.
The National Hospital Chief Nursing Instructress Pushpa Ramyani de Soysa stated the importance of feminine hygiene to today’s progressive woman who plays an active role in today’s society, and sanitary napkins play a big role in helping her maintain good hygiene standards. She further said, “It is important to identify the correct and most suitable type of a sanitary napkin based on one’s biological makeup and the environmental conditions. In this context, Fems fits the requirement as it is approved by the CDDA, SLS and GMP for its health and hygienic characteristics.”
Fems conducted a similar promotion last year for consumers last year named ‘Ran Million,’ where consumers were rewarded with gold pendants, chains and jewellery sets valued approximately Rs. 1 million.
