After discussing the matter the area residents and the concerned glove manufacturing plant in Hanwella, the Minister summoned a meeting to find an independent solution suitable for the area in relation to the said problem.
The residents now raised that the water in their wells were polluted and also there was a decline in paddy harvest as well owing to water and soil pollution.
After listening to all the parties, for the purpose of asserting the actual situation and to reduce the fears, the Minister requested the Chairman of the Environment Authority and the BOI to appoint an official, acting from Monday onwards, to ascertain the concerns and fears of the areas people.
