Energy sector strategies to be discussed at Ceylon Chamber forum

The Minister of Power and Energy Patali Champika Ranawaka and key decision-makers from Sri Lanka’s energy sector will be present at a forum organised by the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce to discuss the Government’s ‘Energy Sector Development Strategies’. The upcoming event, which will be held on Monday 6 April targeting senior executives of the private sector, will see Minister Ranawaka delivering the keynote address which will touch on the Government’s energy sector development strategies for the short and medium term. He is expected to outline the Government’s plans towards generating reliable, sustainable, affordable and high quality energy, which will help achieve the country’s economic goals. The Minister’s address will be followed by a panel discussion featuring Secretary to the Ministry of Power and Energy Dr. B.M.S. Batagoda, Director General of the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka Damitha Kumarasinghe, Chairman/Managing Director of the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation J. R. Wickramasinghe, Chairman of the Ceylon Electricity Board M.A.D.S. Wijayapala and Chairman of the Sri Lanka Sustainable Energy Authority Prasad Galhena.
