“As a home grown brand, we actively promote the use of local produce and are always looking for ways to help the country move towards self-sufficiency in food production. “Working closely with Sri Lankan farmers, we source the entire quantity of ginger used in the manufacture of EGB locally. Over the years, we have sponsored several initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality of their lives and will continue to work at strengthening this bond we have with them,” he added. Being held for the 13th successive year, Pro Food Pro Pack & Ag Biz 2014 is the country’s most comprehensive food, beverage and packaging exhibition. As in the past, Pro Food Pro Pack & Ag Biz 2014 covered areas such as agriculture, poultry, livestock, floriculture and many more income generating sectors. With ‘From the Farm to the Kitchen’ being the theme for this year, the exhibition had several concurrent events around each focus area.
