Dr. Rohantha on ‘Destination Marketing vs. Nation Brand Building’ today

Simon Anholt once said: “One cannot market a country but a nation earns a reputation based on the way one behaves in the global stage.” This is exactly what happened to Sri Lanka where Sri Lanka as a brand though valued as 61 billion dollars found the issue of ‘governance’ during the former regime having a drag on this value as per the Brand Finance Report UK 2014. 



One of Sri Lanka’s top business professionals, Dr. Rohantha Athukorala, Chairman – Sri Lanka Tourism Promotions Bureau and Commissioner General – Sri Lanka for World Expo 2015, will address this issue at today’s Asia Pacific Onboard Tour Operators (APOT) Global Congress at the Hilton Colombo, where 60 top global delegates will be in session sponsored by SriLankan Airlines.
