Dipped Products hires ex-Coca-Cola SL Country Manager as new Deputy MD

Dipped Products Plc has announced the appointment of Kapila Welmillage as the new Deputy Managing Director and Executive Director with effect from 7 December.

He replaces R.K. Witanachchi, who relinquished his position as Executive Director/Deputy Managing Director at Dipped Products Plc on 30 November 2015.

Welmillage possess over 18 years of senior management experience out of which 12 years with Cocoa-Cola Beverages Sri Lanka Ltd. He was heading the supply chain management, human resource management and sales functions prior to his appointment to the position of Country Manager/Managing Director from 1 October 2012.

He started his career at Unilever Ceylon Ltd. as a Management Trainee and progressed up the ladder to become a Plant Manager, Operations Manager and Finance Manager.

Welmillage holds a First Class Honours Degree in Engineering from the University of Moratuwa and an MBA from the University of Colombo. He is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants UK.

Following the changes, the Board of Directors of Dipped Products Plc comprises Mohan Pandithage (Chairman), K.I. Mahesh Ranasoma (Managing Director), Dhammika Perera, Kapila Welmillage, K.A.L.S. Fernando, S.C. Ganegoda, M. Bottino, F. Mohideen, S. Rajapakse, N.A.R.R.S. Nanayakkara, S.P. Peiris, K.D.G. Gunaratne, Y. Bhaskaran (alternate to Dhammika Perera), and S.M. Shaikh (alternate to S.C. Ganegoda)
