Diesel & Motor Engineering Plc (DIMO) recently achieved another milestone when they sold and commissioned the latest CT and MRI machines from Siemens in Sri Lanka.
These machines included the Siemens Magnetom Avanto 1.5 Tesla 18 Channel MRI Scanner and the Siemens Somatom Definition 64-Slice CT scanner. Both were installed at the sixth lane wing of Durdans Hospital.
The Siemens Magnetom Avanto 1.5 Tesla enables ultra-fast image acquisition. It also facilitates dramatic reduction in acoustic noise without compromising gradient performance and truly seamless workflow automation.
Siemens Somatom Definition 64-slice is the latest revolution in CT. Its new Dual Source CT technology promotes pioneering new clinical opportunities at the highest level, making it the ideal choice for bigger hospitals and research facilities. Lowest possible radiation is an important benefit for both hospital and patients. With SOMATOM Definition, Siemens have designed an exceptional solution that can deliver double the power, but needs only half the dose for cardiac applications — without any compromise in image quality.
Siemens innovations combine state-of-the-art imaging, laboratory diagnostics, and IT solutions for early prevention and more specific diagnosis, thus enhancing patient care. Siemens Healthcare is represented in Sri Lanka by DIMO.
