Dhammika takes up Co-Chairman role at Lanka Tiles

Business leader Dhammika Perera has assumed the role of Co-Chairman at Lanka Tiles Plc with effect from 1 July 2015.

The move was approved by the Board recently following the amendment to the Articles of Association of Lanka Tiles Plc.

The non-executive post of Co-Chairman will now be shared by Dhammika and Nimal Perera (Managing Director of Royal Ceramics Plc) who was appointed Chairman in September 2013. 

Dhammika is also the Co-Chairman of Hayleys Plc, along with Chairman Mohan Pandithage. 

Dhammika controlled Royal Ceramics Plc holds 77% stake in Lanka Ceramics Plc, which in turn owns Lanka Walltiles whose subsidiary is Lanka Tiles Plc. Dhammika is the Chairman of Royal Ceramics Plc.

Following the change, the Board of Directors of Lanka Tiles Plc comprises Nimal Perera (Chairman), Dhammika Perera (Co-Chairman), Mahendra Jayasekera (Managing Director), A.M.L. Page, T. Thoradeniya, K.D.G. Gunaratne, S. Selliah and G.A.R.D. Prasanna.
