‘Developing Business through Knowledge’ – FCCISL’s popular business blog

The Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Sri Lanka (FCCISL) has been maintaining a very popular blog among the Sri Lankan exporters, importers, small and medium scale entrepreneurs, academics and scholars who are looking for knowledge on the practical aspects of doing business and developing their entrepreneurship skills.



The objective of the blog is to develop a useful and critical dialog on macro-economic issues and its impact on the Sri Lankan business community. The blog also attempts through its research papers to engage in a role of policy advocacy with the sincere hope that the views expressed in those articles could be useful as valuable inputs to air the views of the business community in Sri Lanka in order to design the best trade and economic policies conducive for sustainable development of the nation.

Many of the recent articles already appearing in the blog discuss objectively and dispassionately issues such as impact of proposed EU GSP Scheme on Sri Lankan exports, recent trade policy development of India and its impact on Sri Lankan trade, introduction to latest Incoterms 2010 practices, impact of revised EU Rules of Origin pertaining to EU GSP Schemes and the current regime of Sri Lanka’s standards. At present there are about 20 research articles on different subjects on macro-economic policies are published on the blog.

The blog has special features to invite the critical comments of the viewers through RSS feeds, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

Any visitor who is interested in Sri Lankan trade policy in particular and in macro-economic policies in general can contribute their views through the blog under the black board.
