Delegation to visit Oman to explore business opportunities

A group of Sri Lankan businessmen will visit the Middle Eastern nation of Oman from 04 to 07 May 2014 to explore Trade, Tourism and Investment opportunities in that country. The upcoming visit organised by the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce is backed by The Public Authority for Investment Promotion and Export Development of Oman, Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Sri Lankan Embassy in Oman. The mission to Oman consists of representatives from sectors such as, Travel and Tourism, Pharmaceuticals, Fruit and Vegetables, IT and Software, construction and many more. During the visit, the delegation will take part in the Sri Lanka – Oman Business Forum, hold B2B meetings and follow up meetings with their counterparts in that country and also will make a visit to Rusaiyl Industrial Zone of Oman. Astron Limited Marketing Director Sirimal Fernando will head the delegation. The upcoming visit is organised by the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, following an invitation made by the government of Oman to send a Sri Lankan business delegation to that country to explore opportunities. The Sultanate of Oman has a US$ 78 billion worth economy and is rich in oil, natural gas, copper, fish, agriculture and tourism.
