The much sought after Best Corporate Citizen Award, 2011 will be held for the eighth consecutive year on 4 November 2011 at the Cinnamon Grand, Colombo, announced the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce.

The finalists are selected through stringent criteria and the shortlisted applicants are required to make a brief presentation and also face an interview.
The BCC award assesses the services of a corporate entity (private or government) to its stakeholders; customers/suppliers, shareholders, employees, environment and community based on two categories, companies with a turnover of Rs. 15bn or more and those with a turnover less than Rs.15bn. At the event awards will be presented to the Top Ten Corporate citizens selected from all applicants under both categories, Winner, First and Second runners up selected from all applicants under both categories, top three from the less than Rs.15bn turnover category, category awards for the best performer under each of the five categories; namely, Environment, Employee Relations, Customer & Supplier Relations, Community Relations & CSR and Governance & Economic Contribution.
