The new features are designed to give the construction industry a more efficient and flexible fire detection solution. The Cooper Safety India Ltd. Country Manager Anish Rana made a presentation to an audience of contractors and consultants regarding the new comprehensive fire detection tools. The company is already set to provide their services to many upcoming high rise buildings in Sri Lanka. Rana also brought up many examples of clients from the company’s Indian portfolio to demonstrate the trust these well-known companies have placed in this product. These industry giants include some familiar names such as Facebook, LinkedIn India, TATA and Volvo to name a few. The portfolio also demonstrates the reliability of the brand and capacity of Cooper Security to cater to operations of a larger scale. Also given the similarities in the climate conditions between Sri Lanka and India it also reflects on the ability of these systems to maintain proper functionality under these conditions. Some of the special features of the new detection tools include new touch screen alarm panels that can produce up to 9,999 event logs. This is a first in the market. The company has also made it a point to reduce cost by creating a system that can be more efficiently wired. For instance the new wiring system introduces an amplifier on each floor of a building making it unnecessary to draw wires from a single amplifier on the ground floor to every individual floor, reducing the cost by a considerable amount. The company also provides a range of detectors according to the customer needs. They can detect smoke or heat or the heat rise rate that can be adjusted according to the area.

In addition to this the manager also presented the software along with the graphics interface that is used to maintain the system and detect problems. The evacuation system also contains voice messages that can be configured to send a particular message to different floors or one message to the entire complex according to the client’s needs. He also showed the audience the fire alarm notification screen as it can be programmed to display instructions such as evacuation procedure and necessary information such as the names and numbers of officials who should be contacted in the event of such an emergency. Cooper safety is a subsidiary of world renowned Eaton brand. Their official reseller in Sri Lanka is Intec Systems and Solutions.
