Commissioner General of Inland Revenue to address SMEs on tax in Kandy tomorrow

Commissioner General of the Inland Revenue Mallika Samarasekara will address the Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs) in Kandy this week during a knowledge fair organised by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka (CA Sri Lanka). Samarasekara will deliver the keynote speech at a special seminar on ‘Taxation for SMEs’ given the important role SMEs play in the country, in its capacity as the backbone of Sri Lanka’s progressing economy. The seminar will be held on Thursday, 20 February 2014 at Queen’s Hotel, Kandy from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. The seminar will cover a wide range of important taxations matters which are vital and relevant to SMEs practicing in the central province.
