Commercial Bank rewards ‘e-Exchange’ recipients

A large number of recipients of remittances via Commercial Bank’s ‘e-Exchange’ instant money transfer service were generously rewarded by the bank during an ‘Avurudu’ promotion for the facility.

Valuable ‘e-Exchange’ branded gifts were presented by bank officials at special events conducted at the Bank’s Kurunegala Remittance Centre and its Ambalangoda, Anuradhapura and Batticaloa branches. All beneficiaries of remittances via ‘e-Exchange’ between 1 and 15 of April 2011 were rewarded at these events.

Activities aimed at enhancing interaction with users of ‘e-Exchange’ included an ‘Avurudu Kema Mesaya’ at chosen locations of the bank with special delicacies made for the Sinhala and Tamil New Year. A mini ‘Avurudu’ Festival was also conducted at the bank’s Kurunegala Remittance Centre.

Commercial Bank’s ‘e-Exchange’ service is a sophisticated yet low cost real time on-line money transfer facility which is available to remitters via a network of agents in over 50 countries.

Recipients of remittances can collect proceeds from any of the bank’s 198 computer-linked branches, a significant number of which are open even on bank holidays and access their funds through its network of 417 ATMs, which is the largest cash-dispensing system in the country.
