Colombo Jewellery Stores, the leading and most iconic jewellery brand in Sri Lanka, continues to break the mould for customer interaction via their partnership with Saberion Ltd., with the introduction of a state of the art web solution and in-store iPad application.
Colombo Jewellery Stores has always been focused on exceptional customer service to support their exceptional product portfolio. An interactive and constantly evolving customer experience remains an essential element of the brand.
“Colombo Jewellery Stores is always looking for something new in design and technology whether in relation to Jewellery Designs or trends and we felt the need to revamp the look and feel of our website to give our clients a feel of the brand before they even enter a CJS store and decided on Saberion as they too are always conscious of the need to change and to improve with new technology and to help our clients to get the best that is available in the market in terms of web design,” said Colombo Jewellery Stores CEO Akram Cassim.
“The new eb site was designed to be as timeless as the brand itself, the key element was to create a visual that would remain relevant and stylish for the next three years, while easily incorporating the CJS campaigns that are launched three to four times a year without changing the architecture of the site,” said Saberion Director Mufaddal Lukmanjee.
Utilising the latest in responsive web technologies such as HTML5 and CSS3, Saberion delivered a streamlined and extremely user-friendly web solution. The use of Java scripting and action scripting avoids heavy programming such as flash ensuring accessibility across multiple platforms, devices and Internet speeds, he added.
Making the most of the exceptional campaign visuals that CJS is renowned for, the site utilises the entire screen and is optimised for all devices including iPhones, iPads and other smart phones ensuring that an increasingly mobile customer base can experience the site as it should be.
Following up from the successful launch of the web site, CJS also launched an in-store iPad application. The first of its kind in Sri Lanka, the app allows customers to browse through the latest CJS collection, using the versatile browsing features of an iPad. The customer service executives have the luxury of using the App to better showcase complete collections with easy access to a comprehensive database of product information at their fingertips.
