The 2015 Budget of the Colombo Municipal Council (CMC) presented by Mayor A.J.M.Muzammil was passed with a majority of 30 votes on Monday.
Thirty-one votes were received in favour and one vote against while 12 refrained from voting. Six members were absent at the time of the vote with another three not present when the budget was presented at the CMC, on Monday.
The only Councillor to vote against the budget was UPFA’s Mahinda Kahandagama.
The Colombo Municipal Council consists of 53 members in total.
