Cinnamon Grand launches E-Waste campaign for staff on World Environment Day

Cinnamon Grand Launched an E- Waste campaign for the hotel’s associates as part of the hotel’s commitment to ‘Bea Greener Corporate Entity’. Cinnamon Grand in association with Think Green Ltd launched the campaign to commemorate World Environment Day.

The hotel was also presented with the E – Waste disposal box which will enable the hotel associates to dispose their E- Waste in an environmentally responsible manner. Cinnamon Grand is the first hotel in the city to launch an E – Waste related campaign for the hotel staff.

As part of this initiative staff was also encouraged to bring in their discarded electronic items.  Electrical and electronic equipment that is thrown away contains heavy metals such as lead, cadmium, and beryllium.  These metals become mixed into the food chain and can cause harm to humans, animals and plants.
