Myriam Madden
CIMA Sri Lanka’s Golden Jubilee celebrations marking their 50-year presence in the country will be held under the patronage of Myriam Madden, CIMA President for 2015/16.
Maddenhas held global governance roles at CIMA since 2007, which include roles as Deputy and Vice President, chair of the global members’ services committee and a board member of the audit and risk committee. She also served on the Board of the AICPA.
She now becomes CIMA’s 82nd President, a voluntary role responsible for chairing the institute’s governance arrangements and advocating for CIMA and management accounting.
Professionally, Myriam has a strong background in finance and business with extensive experience in governance, business strategy, mergers, acquisitions and operational transformation. Organisations where she has led change programs and finance functions include HBOS, Hewlett Packard, Agilent, Scottish Arts Council, NHS and Historic Scotland. She is a graduate of University College Cork with an honours degree in commerce and business.
Madden, who will be in Sri Lanka from 20 to 28 September, will attend the Jubilee dinner to mark CIMA’s 50-year presence in Sri Lanka on 24 September. She will also meet with past Presidents and the Chairman of the CIMA Sri Lanka Board, and felicitate the 100,000th CIMA member – who happens to be a Sri Lankan.
Maddenwill also meet with important dignitaries during the visit to further strengthen CIMA’s presence in Sri Lanka.
