Britain-headquartered Chartered Institute of Management Accountants states that it stands ready to extend its fullest support to enhance the contribution of the skills of Sri Lankan youths for the development process of the country.
CIMA President Myriam Madden stated this when she paid a courtesy call on Minister of Finance Ravi Karunanayake at the Ministry yesterday. She appreciated the commitment of the new Government towards sustainable development.
Pointing out that Ravi Karunanaye is the only CIMA (UK) qualified Finance Minister in the world, Madden added that his appointment to this important portfolio would be a tremendous boost to the economic development process of Sri Lanka.
Executive Director of CIMA Charles Tilley, Director Radley Stephen and CIMA Sri Lanka Board Chairman Vipula Gunathilake were also present on the occasion.
