CIC Agri Businesses, a leading Agri Business Company in Sri Lanka has tied up with Dubai-based S.S. Lootah International to jointly address the agri market requirements in the UAE and explore the opportunities in Africa. The two Companies signed an MOU to this effect in Dubai last week.
“The partnership with Lootah International complements our vision of enriching the agriculture sector with the best quality produce from ‘seed to shelf’. In addition to the supply of indoor plants, we will also explore the possibilities of establishing advanced projects in tissue culture propagation and Agri Business,” CIC Agri Businesses CEO Keerthi B. Kotagama commented.
“We are delighted to cooperate with CIC Agri Businesses, the largest agriculture company in Sri Lanka. We will initially import indoor plants to the UAE markets having identified it as the prime area to focus on, in order to enter into the market. There is huge potential in this area as product value addition can be done with the infrastructure available in the UAE,” Creative Choice CEO Yousif Bin Saeed Al Lootah, was quoted as saying.
Lootah International is a trusted name in the market for landscaping, indoor plants supply and plants maintenance services. The history of the company dates back to three decades when a Landscaping Division of S.S. Lootah Group was established. With the growth of landscape construction and plants maintenance in the UAE, the group recognized the importance and value in sharing its decades of knowledge and expertise by serving a large number of clients. This vision led to the formation of Creative Choice in year 2010.
